Job description

From Luxe Talent, International Recruitment and Training Consultancy specialised in Fashion, Luxury, Retail and FMCG, we are looking for a Pre-Owned Fine Jewelry Buyer for one of our clients; a company located in Toronto


In our recruitment and training consultancy we work with different firms in the Luxury, Premium and High Premium sectors around Europe and have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Milan and Munich.

Tasks as a Buyer: 

  • Meet with clients, evaluate jewelry items for purchase both virtually and in person
  • Build and cultivate a seller community in the greater Toronto area
  • Manage a schedule of physical and virtual appointments
  • Make offers to clients to purchase their jewelry
  • Work with marketing team to develop, evaluate, and optimize advertising campaigns for your region
  • Take part in on-going training with the buying team on new and existing trends
  • Follow up with clients to produce results gaining insight to client experience through various proprietary software programs
  • Manage inventory entries and shipments for purchased product
  • Report purchase activity to municipal authorities
  • Manage staff assigned to your region

Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Completed coursework from the GIA or other relevant trade associations; GG certification preferred
  • Auction house experience in jewelry or related senior sales experience in the luxury jewelry industry
  • Experience in luxury goods industry required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate good working relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with knowledge of Microsoft office and other relevant applications. ERP and CRM experience a plus
