Job description

The Head of Product Collections (Buying & Planning) will define and execute the overall product vision and seasonal strategy across all ladieswear categories. This pivotal role will drive the brand’s creative and commercial direction, ensuring collections are trend-relevant, brand-aligned, and customer-focused. The position requires strong product sensibility, commercial acumen, and leadership to inspire and guide high-performing buying and product teams.

Main Responsibilities:

Collection Strategy:
Lead the end-to-end collection planning process, ensuring product assortments reflect the brand DNA, customer expectations, and business objectives.

Market & Trend Direction:
Translate global trends into inspiring, commercially viable collections that strengthen the brand’s competitive positioning.

Assortment Planning:
Build a cohesive, profitable product offer across all categories, balancing innovation, core lines, and new opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Design, Merchandising, Marketing, and Retail teams to deliver a unified product message across markets and channels.

Product Excellence:
Ensure quality, fit, and consistency across all garments and categories while maintaining the brand’s premium positioning.

Leadership & Development:
Coach, motivate, and develop the buying and product teams to achieve strategic and creative excellence.

Commercial Focus:
Drive business performance through data-led decisions, managing pricing architecture, margin performance, and category profitability.

Customer Insight:
Use market intelligence and consumer insights to anticipate shifts in customer behaviour and identify new product opportunities.

Agility & Responsiveness:
Adapt quickly to business and market changes, refining collection strategies based on performance and feedback.

Requirements

Leadership:
Proven ability to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams with clarity, accountability, and a collaborative mindset.

Strategic Vision:
Track record in defining and executing product strategies that merge creativity with commercial performance.

Ladieswear Expertise:
Extensive experience across all ladieswear categories within the premium or luxury segment, with a strong understanding of fit, fabrication, and market trends.

Customer-Centric Approach:
Deep understanding of the premium customer profile and the ability to convert insight into compelling product direction.

Analytical & Commercial Acumen:
Confident in using data and analytics to guide buying, pricing, and range decisions while ensuring profitability.

Adaptability:
Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving retail landscape and can pivot quickly to meet new challenges.

Communication:
A persuasive communicator able to connect creative vision with commercial execution and influence at all levels.
