Retail Director – Northern Europe- London
Type: Full-time | Confidential Brand

We are seeking an experienced Retail Director, Northern Europe- London based to lead and develop a growing retail network across multiple Northern European markets. This is a senior, highly hands-on and operational role, suited to a leader who thrives on being close to the business, stores, and teams.

The successful candidate will be based in London and will play a key role in driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and consistent brand execution across the region, while working closely with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead overall retail performance across Northern Europe, with full ownership of sales, profitability, and KPIs
  • Act as a hands-on partner to local retail teams, store managers, and field leadership
  • Drive operational excellence across stores, including staffing, training, visual execution, and customer experience
  • Ensure consistent implementation of retail standards, processes, and ways of working
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across global and regional functions (merchandising, operations, HR, finance, real estate, marketing) to align priorities and deliver results
  • Serve as a key point of contact between markets and global leadership, ensuring clear communication and effective execution
  • Identify commercial opportunities and address underperformance quickly and pragmatically
  • Support store openings, network optimisation, and market development initiatives
  • Travel regularly across the region to stay close to stores and teams

Profile

  • Proven senior retail leadership experience across multi-store, multi-market environments
  • Strong operational and collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence without over-reliance on hierarchy
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing diverse stakeholder expectations
  • Commercially driven, data-aware, and confident making decisions
  • Natural leader with the ability to engage, coach, and challenge teams at all levels
  • Experience within high street or premium large scale fashion Brand
