Job description

From Luxe Talent, International Recruitment and Training Consultancy specialising in Fashion, Luxury, Retail and FMCG, we are looking for an experienced buyer to join the team of an established multibrand, to manage the buying of the mens and women sportswear collections. The office is based in Amsterdam.

In our recruitment and training consultancy we work with different firms in the Luxury, Premium and High Premium sectors around Europe and we have offices in Ámsterdam, Barcelona, Berlín, Braga, Londres, Madrid, Milán, París and Zúrich.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and lead the sourcing strategy for our in-house athleisure and accessories line
Manage the full product development cycle from concept to market launch
Find and evaluate suppliers; build long-term partnerships
Negotiate pricing, quality standards, and delivery terms; monitor production costs and identify savings opportunities
Ensure on-time deliveries and compliance with quality standards
Collaborate with the design team to turn ideas into products aligned with market trends and customer needs
Continuously improve sourcing processes and apply best practices

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

Background in textile, fashion, business, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in product development or sourcing, ideally in athleisure or sportswear
Good understanding of how textiles are made and produced, including quality checks and supplier management
Comfortable working with numbers—budgeting, cost calculations, and analysis
Skilled in using MS Office and ERP tools like SAP
Confident negotiator with the ability to work well across cultures
Fluent in English skills; other languages as German and Dutch are a bonus
Open to travel (around 20%)
Strong interest in fashion and trends, especially in the athleisure space
